Messages - SMS Messaging Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes the information practices applicable to Messages - SMS Messaging Home (referred to as the "Application"), developed by Decorify (referred to as the "Service Provider"). It explains what information the Application can access while you use its messaging and related features, why that access is required, and how information is handled.

The Application is designed to provide messaging and communication tools from your Android device. Because some of its functions involve SMS, MMS, contacts, phone-related features, notifications, and locally stored media, certain device permissions are required for the Application to work as intended. Your use of these features remains subject to the permissions you grant through Android.

1. About the Application

Messages - SMS Messaging Home is an Android messaging application intended to bring everyday communication features into one place. It can be used to send and receive SMS and MMS messages, organize conversations, manage unwanted messages, and access communication-related functions from a convenient interface.

Depending on the features available in your version of the Application, you may also be able to schedule messages, manage blocked conversations, work with message categories, use SMS backup and restore functions, attach supported media, receive message notifications, and use the Application as a messaging-focused home experience. The Application stores its user-related messaging data locally on the device rather than maintaining your message content on servers operated by the Service Provider.

2. Information Collected Automatically

Apart from information you provide or make available through the Application's features, certain technical information may be processed automatically when the Application operates.

This may include:

  • Device manufacturer and model.

  • Android version.

  • Application version.

  • Device language and configuration.

  • IP address.

  • Network connection information.

  • Session information.

  • Feature interaction data.

  • Crash reports.

  • Error information.

  • Diagnostic and performance data.

  • Advertising-related identifiers where applicable.

Technical information is used to understand how the Application performs across different devices, identify problems, improve reliability, and support future updates. Such information is not intended to reveal the actual contents of your private SMS or MMS conversations.

3. Purposes for Processing Information

Different categories of information are handled for different operational reasons.

Depending on the feature you use, information may be processed to:

  • Send and receive SMS messages

  • Display and organize conversations

  • Identify contacts associated with phone numbers

  • Manage blocked messages or numbers

  • Schedule messages and related alerts

  • Support phone and communication-related features

  • Maintain Application functionality

  • Diagnose crashes and technical problems

  • Measure Application performance

  • Improve usability and future features

  • Display advertisements

  • Protect the Application against misuse and technical issues

The Service Provider does not intentionally use private message content for unrelated advertising or commercial profiling.

4. Permissions Required

5. Third-Party Services

The Application may integrate third-party tools to support analytics, performance monitoring, and advertising. These may include:

This app uses the Microsoft Clarity mobile SDK for analytics and performance measurement. Through this SDK, the app automatically records app interaction and usage information such as device details (device model and operating system version), app version, session events, screen interactions (taps and gestures), and diagnostic information, including crashes and errors. This information is securely transmitted using industry-standard encryption and is shared with Microsoft solely for analytics and app performance improvement, where it is processed in accordance with the Microsoft Privacy Statement. The app does not intentionally access or share contacts, messages, or personal content through Microsoft Clarity. Analytics functionality may be enabled only after obtaining user consent, where required by applicable laws. For more information about how Microsoft collects and uses your data, visit the Microsoft Privacy Statement

6. How Information May Be Shared

The Service Provider does not sell, rent, or trade your private messages, contact information, or personal media for commercial purposes.

Information may be disclosed when reasonably necessary:

  • To provide integrated third-party services.

  • To operate advertising and analytics functionality.

  • To diagnose crashes and technical problems.

  • To comply with applicable legal requirements.

  • To respond to valid legal or governmental requests.

  • To protect the Application, users, or others from fraud, abuse, or security threats.

In connection with a business transfer, merger, acquisition, or similar transaction where legally permitted. Any sharing with service providers is limited to information reasonably required for the relevant service or purpose.

7. Data Retention and Deletion

The Application follows a local-storage approach for user messaging information. SMS, MMS, conversation details, application preferences, and other locally managed information remain on your device unless they are removed through the Application, Android settings, or another applicable device function.

You can manage or delete locally stored information using the features available within the Application or through your device. Removing the Application may also remove information associated with the Application, depending on how Android manages application data and system-level messaging information.

Technical information collected through analytics, crash reporting, advertising, or diagnostic services may be retained by the relevant third-party provider for the period necessary to fulfill its legitimate business, security, analytical, or legal purposes. Such retention is governed by the applicable provider's privacy practices.

8. Your Control Over the Application

You have the ability to decide which device permissions the Application can access. Android provides controls that allow you to review, grant, deny, or revoke permissions.

Depending on your device and Android version, you may control:

  • SMS and MMS access

  • Contact access

  • Phone-related permissions

  • Camera access

  • Media and storage access

  • Location access

  • Notification permissions

  • Overlay permissions

  • Alarm and background functionality

You may also stop using the Application or uninstall it whenever you choose. Please understand that disabling a permission that is essential to a particular feature may cause that feature to become unavailable or operate differently.

9. Children’s Privacy

The App is not directed toward children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that a child has provided personal information, we will take steps to remove such information promptly.

Parents or guardians may contact us regarding child privacy concerns.

10. Updates to This Privacy Policy

We may revise this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect updates in our practices or legal requirements. Whenever changes are made, the updated version, along with the revised effective date, will be published within the Application.

We encourage users to review this Privacy Policy regularly to stay informed about how their information is handled. Your continued use of the Application after any updates indicates your acceptance of the modified terms.

This Privacy Policy is effective as of 10 August, 2026.
